Hello and welcome to Words Matter from the DSRnetwork. Each week, Norm Ornstein and I will talk

about the issues facing our country as we come out of one election cycle and head into another.

And boy, Norm, today we have this is it. This is, I like to think of sports analogies. This is our,

you know, leading up into the World Cup finals. This is our, like, NBA semi-finals. This is,

this is like every analogy for, like, the game that is a foot before the championship showdown

in some levels. And what are we talking about? The game in Washington, D.C., the death ceiling,

which is something you and I have been talking about. I feel like, pretty consistently, and maybe

to the secret of many listeners, but Norm, this is it. We're here. We actually had some action

on the death ceiling from the house. We've already had Chuck Schumer and Mitch McConnell saying that

they'll keep the Senate to bring him in to work over the weekend. What a shock that somebody
