He really did come off the hour, come with the Woodman,

because honestly, I mean, it wasn't actually that deep or dramatic at lot throughout large parts

of the game, but you've already mentioned he is Liverpool's their choice goalkeeper.

He's coming to make his Amfield debut.

There's probably the most pressure of any of the Liverpool players today. It was probably felt by the man in the goalkeeper's shirt and he probably just wanted to perform he probably didn't want to make no mistakes, no haulers and he probably wanted to get a good 90 minutes under his belt and I just think he handled himself really well there was a bit of a nerdy early moment where he comes out and he flaps, I think it might have been a Richardson attempt, a goal, and he doesn't go anywhere nearer, to be honest. But after that he grows into the game, I genuinely felt that his kicking and his distribution was okay. It wasn't, it wasn't shocking, it wasn't bad, it didn't lead us into any untold pressure in any way. And then there was a couple of moments for me that really just stood out as,

that's what you want your keeper to do, whether that is the best goalkeeper in the world. And Alison Becker, Roar, it is your third choice goalkeeper, just being in the right place, anticipating and being alive to the danger. And then just pulling out some really good instinctive saves. And I think he had that today. I don't know whether that gave him a platform and a confidence,

but I do think his intervention,

especially within the in the midst of that second

goal it needs to be given the credit because look in that moment we mentioned the incomes if you

pause there and then tell us there's a goal to be scored you think somebody's got on the end of

that cross into the box from a crystal palace man and no know it's Freddie Woodman there that stops it. He gets down low. He stops Metetta from staring a goal, getting a goal. And then he manages to just move the ball away from the danger as well. It gets Ibuquanati on the front full from near the rest of the history. It's a chain of events there and after. But Freddie Woodman was the catalyst for that in that moment,

and it enabled Liverpool to then extend their lead even further

before the second half started.

So I thought it was a good debut performance.

I thought he had some good standout moments,

and there was just a little bit of quality that he was able to show when he was actually putting the ring at and when it was about a bit a little bit of a baptism of fire and we going into the unknown with him in the sticks the fact that he was able to stand tall deliver for his team bear a lookable of his teammates out as well because he did that for kirtis jones as well i think it worth noting. He was really good today and again.

I don't think we will spend many segments sitting here wax and lyrical about Freddie Woodman,

but at the point in the season where Liverpool are at, let's give flowers where flowers are due.
