Meet Bunmi!
Bunmi Babajide isn’t your typical health startup founder. She comes from a design engineering, product manufacturing and management consulting background and has enjoyed spending the past 16 years working in the automotive, aerospace and chemical industries for the public and private sector.
Babajide earned her PhD in engineering education from Purdue University.
Bunmi’s story into the world of Web 3.0 start-ups began a few years ago when she was pregnant with her first child. She wanted to track her health. She found a few apps but each one was missing something to give her and her medical team a full and accurate picture.
In March 2022, Bunmi decided to take the leap away from her engineering background to focus her entire efforts on changing the way we will all track, monitor and monetize our health data. She took a leap into the fast-paced world of Web 3.0 and launched a health and wellness startup.
On this show, we discuss:
🩺 Using blockchain technology to own, monetize and incentivize health-care data and tracking
💰How and where to apply for grants to fund your web3 startup
🤰🏻Building as a mompreneur
🤖 The role of AI in healthcare, wellness and web3 technologies
We end with a two-minute mindfulness exercise! :)
