| 0:52.0 | Initially, I had a radio program for four years, and my focus was on |
| 1:00.0 | entrepreneurship, minorities, and community. And I look at different topics and different |
| 1:07.3 | businesses and just how they're doing and how they fare in comparison to new statistics or old statistics. |
| 1:16.6 | And women's songwriters' Hall of Fame came about because I was looking at the music business as a whole. |
| 1:25.6 | And I wanted to see how women were doing in particular performers and artists. |
| 1:32.9 | And as the research started to show, there were just these alarming facts that started to stand out |
| 1:41.9 | more than what I was looking for when I was doing the research for the radio show. |
| 1:49.0 | And initially I started out as a songwriter through high school. |
| 1:53.9 | I played in the band and did music and clarinet and flute and piano and all of those things. |
| 2:05.6 | And then then there was the era of Prince and then just it all changed. I was like, ah, music is what I want to do. |
