Summary

Offering an honest conversation about new motherhood, former WoMed co-host Danielle LeVeck joins D and Jackie to talk about everything she’s experiencing, from the pain to the exhaustion and all that's in between. She discusses breastfeeding, induced labor, c-sections, and vaginal labor, and the feelings and fear that come along with each. Dani gets honest about judging other parents as well as the reality of having to help one another and extend support until there is systemic change that better supports new parents in the workplace. The three then discuss maternity and paternity leave, what needs to change there, and how Dani feels about going back to work. Dani also opens up about what she didn’t expect about motherhood and the ways in which her practice may change as a result. The 4th trimester is often suffered in silence, and this episode pulls back the curtain as we get to catch up with Dani and her sweet baby boy - the first official male guest on The WoMed! To keep up with Danielle, follow her on Instagram @nurseabnormalities and check out her blog nurseabnormalities.com.
