Welcome back to the Deepen podcast again with my friend Charles Martin,

Pastor Jobi, of course, Pastor Britt.

My name's Jonathan Vinkie.

This is week four, and if you're just jumping in,

we're handling one of the sayings of Jesus for every single week,

and Pastor Britt, you're bringing the message.

So how do you want to start us off today?

Yeah, well, I mean, what an incredible series, number one. And you could spend the rest of your life

just looking at the cross and the words of Jesus from the cross and it not be a wasted

life or have wasted a minute.

I think so much of Jesus, Jesus teaches us how to live in every way.

And he also, from the cross, he teaches us not just about God's eternal plan and accomplishes God's eternal plan, but he teaches us how to live in the working out of God's eternal plan,

even in the suffering.

And this text is one of those where it's a very detail.

You both see the sovereignty of God's beating heart

for each individual person,

but you also see the humanity of a son and a mother
