Haley Swinson went to Truett McConnell University, or T.M.U, hungry to grow in her newfound Christian faith.

There, she and her fellow soccer team members were quickly befriended by Bradley Reynolds, then the vice president of student services and a pastor.

Haley and her teammates spent many hours at the Reynolds home,

and she believed they were a model Christian family. So when Bradley Reynolds offered to

disciple Haley one-on-one in the basement of his home, she jumped at the opportunity. Little

did she know that Reynolds was grooming her the entire time and that those meetings in the basement would

become the context for alleged sexual abuse. In those moments where someone's telling you this is

God's will and all you want to do is know God. It felt like in order to know God I had to obey him, follow him.

But it didn't feel like this is what a loving God would do.

I'm Julie Roy's. And on this episode, Haley tells her gut-wrenching story of alleged sexual abuse by former TMU Vice President Bradley Reynolds.

According to Haley, Reynolds' years-long abuse began in 2011, and the whole time Reynolds was manipulating her, saying that the sexual encounters were God's will and part of a secret betrothal.

As a result of that abuse, Haley says she became severely depressed and suicidal, and it's only

been in the past four years that Haley has received counseling and has begun to heal.

And now, she's speaking out to protect others. But equally devastating to the

abuse, Haley says, was the cover-up and protection of Reynolds by TMU President Emir Kanner and
