Summary
Jimbo welcomes Daniel Storey, Adrian Clarke and Tim Spiers into the pod after a pulsating FA Cup 3rd round weekend.
Chelsea are thrashed by Man City at the Etihad and we have that crazy conversation about Graham Potter’s future at the Bridge. Are the players playing for Potter? Do the fans need to accept some short-term pain for long-term gain?
Wolves fall victim to some questionable offside decisions in their draw with Liverpool at Anfield as Lopetegui continues to improve the players. But Emery’s Villa are upset by Stevenage while Wrexham, Boreham Wood and Chesterfield do the National League proud.
Elsewhere there’s the non-celebrating Josh Windass, the calm Marco Silva and the happy Marcus Rashford. Plus it’s Carabao Cup quarter-final time with possibly the biggest game of Newcastle’s season.
Real Madrid are beaten by Villarreal with The Athletic’s new Real correspondent Guillermo Rai telling us why the champions are so suspect defensively.
