This story is about a wolf with some unusual food choices.

He loves vegetables and this is very confusing to the other animals in the forest.

He has had to explain and defend his choices many times in the past.

But when Brownie, a fox, comes by and starts asking questions, Wolfie loses his patience.

Wolfie makes soup.

It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, the birds were singing and there wasn't a

cloud in the sky.

It was Saturday and Wolfie was outside taking care of his garden, which was his favorite

thing to do on the weekends.

Wolfie's garden was in the meadow that was just a short walk from his cabin in the forest.

But he had built a small shed there so that he didn't have to take all his tools with

him back and forth.

Since it was now at the end of the growing season, Wolfie didn't have to spend as much

time pulling weeds or take as much time taking care of the soil.

He did still need to water his vegetables, but before he did that, it was time to harvest

the vegetables that had grown large enough to be picked.

Wolfie was a little bit different from all the other wolves because he preferred to eat

mostly vegetables.

When he was younger, he would sometimes get strange looks from the other pops, or at times

some pops would tease him because of his love of vegetables.

Wolfie didn't like to be teased, of course, but he believed in himself and with the support
