0:10.9	Burlington Vermont now some of you may know this past summer with my family to Burlington, Vermont.

0:15.3	I identified the place that is absolutely
0:19.6	the most walk place in the universe.
0:21.5	And I'm proud to say that it's my former city of Ithaca, New York.
0:26.2	Many of you know that I did my MS and PhD at Cornell University located in Ithaca, New York.
0:33.4	I had gone back this past summer to honor my former doctoral supervisor
0:38.7	who was shortly retiring from Cornell. Several of his former doctoral students have gotten together
0:45.8	to honor him. And Ithaca is a beautiful town, but the level of w walkness is truly heartening.
0:54.0	It was just wonderful to see signs everywhere that support all sorts of walk positions.
1:01.0	And then yesterday, when I visited Burlington, Vermont,
1:05.1	it's not quite as Wok as Ithaca,
1:11.6	but it's sure up there. if you know we get to downtown every storefront
1:17.2	Every street corner every you know sidewalk on with chalk every car every church has you know a BLM sign
1:30.0	trans rights are human rights trans day visibility, when we walk into a bookstore, there's a whole section on that.
1:38.6	And so I just, I felt safe, I felt good to be there because I knew that I mean Vermont has a huge problem with you
1:45.8	know the daily erasure of people of color and trans people so it's good to see you
1:51.9	know white progressive Vermonters standing up for communities of
1:57.2	color.
1:58.2	So that was good.
1:59.2	So that's number one.
