All these archaic mechanics have their defenders, but there's one mechanic I can think of

where gamer Americans have crossed the aisle, locked arms, and reached a post-9-11 style bipartisan consensus.

QTEs suck, thank God they're gone.

Can you guys, even a tiny bit, defend the humble QTE? Is there ever a time and a place for them were they ever used well?

Like the supermassive games obviously do QTEs just fine.
