Summary

Friends, today we share a talk I recently gave to the service men and women at the United State Air Force Academy. After previously speaking at the Naval Academy about three sailors from the Bible, then at West Point about three soldiers from the Old Testament, I wondered, what should I speak of to the Air Force Academy?

What came to me was the angels, those famous fliers in the pages of the Bible. I told the Air Force men and women that they are flyers, too, and so they should consider the angelic realm, the realm of pure spirits, those who fly into the very presence of God, becoming radiant by contact with him. I encouraged them to join the angels in flight, trust their life to a higher power, and become a person of right praise.

Today, we are excited to share with you a talk that Bishop Aaron recently gave to the

0:17.2

service men and women at the United States Air Force Academy. Bishop has previously spoken

0:23.6

at the Naval Academy and at West Point, but he was wondering what should he speak about to the

0:29.6

Air Force Academy? Well, what came to him were the angels, those famous flyers and the pages of

0:36.2

the Bible. Bishop told the Air Force men and women that they are flyers too, and so they should

0:41.9

consider the angelic realm, the realm of pure spirits, those who fly into the very presence of

0:48.4

God and become radiant by contact with him. Bishop encouraged them to join the angels in flight,

0:55.5

to trust their life to a higher power, and to become a person of right praise. It's a wonderful

1:01.9

talk. We think you'll really enjoy it. So sit back and enjoy Bishop Aaron's address to the men

1:07.1

and women at the United States Air Force Academy. Enjoy. Thank you, Joseph. Thank you for the time.

I appreciate that very much. I had a wonderful tour this morning of the Air Force Academy loved it,

1:24.4

and I've been to all three now. I'm not going to compare any. I enjoyed all three of them.

1:30.1

I know I probably shouldn't mention the other two when I'm here, but the first one I visited was

1:34.5

the Naval Academy. I know. And there I spoke about three sailors from the Bible and drew spiritual

1:44.0

lessons from these three figures. So I went to them to West Point, boo. And there I spoke about

1:51.2

three soldiers from the scriptures. So I thought, now the Air Force Academy, the Air Force

1:56.0

Academy, what shall I talk about? I said, well, these people are their flyers, wings. It sort of occurred to me,

2:05.1

angels, I should talk about it, the Air Force Academy. And so I'm going to do is take three stories of angels

2:11.2

in the scriptures and try to draw kind of spiritual lessons from them. I hope we're appealing

2:15.6

really to anybody. I'm not speaking just to Catholics, not even just to Christians, but I think to

2:19.8

any spiritual seeker, most of you in this audience are at the age when a lot of your peers are
