Jerome said, ignorance of the Scriptures is ignorance of Christ.

And so a way into Jesus is through the sacred Word.

But now the sacred Word elaborated in this beautiful and I hope compelling way as we bring

the whole of the tradition forward.

I think a volume like this would help you come to know Christ.

I'm here in the chilly Santa Barbara.

You know, this time of year it does get a little cold out here and our studio, it's a long

story, but the heating system isn't working right.

So it's currently 56 degrees in our studio.

So it's good though, I won't sweat at all during this broadcast.

But it's chilly out here.

So if you're going to cold weather, you went back home to Chicago and you're now acclimated

to the Santa Barbara weather.
