0:09.6	studio with us today and so instead we're going to be sharing one of his most popular
0:14.4	talks ever. It's titled The Seven Keys to the New Evangelization and it was Bishop Beren's
0:20.6	Keynote Talk at the 2014 Los Angeles Religious Education Congress which is one of the largest
0:28.1	religious conferences in the world. Every year it draws 10 to 15,000 people out to Los Angeles.
0:34.2	And for this particular talk they filled an arena to hear Bishop Beren outline these seven keys.
0:40.0	In today's episode we're going to cover the first three keys of the New Evangelization which
0:44.6	include leading with the beautiful, not dumbing down the message of Catholicism and then preaching
0:51.4	with Arder. Next week we'll hear the final four keys to the New Evangelization but for today

1:08.5	Well thank you all very much and God bless you. Always wonderful to be here at the LA Congress.
1:14.8	There's nothing like it anywhere in the church. The only place I know where a breakout session
1:20.4	has 2,000 people. There was a wonderful moment happened about 20 minutes ago. I was sitting
1:27.8	right out there ready to come on and Sister Edith texted me. I hadn't seen her yet and she said,
1:34.6	are you here? The talk begins in 20 minutes and I was demolished attempt. I didn't do it but
1:41.8	text back. Oh is that today? No no I'm here. I'm here.
1:51.2	Hey listen it really is a great honor and privilege to be with you at the Congress and every time
1:56.4	I come here here's what I think especially now seeing you all in one place. If we could harness
2:01.1	the energy in this room we could indeed set the world on fire.
2:12.8	And that's exactly what I want to talk to you about. Seven recommendations for the New
2:18.1	Evangelization. Seven ways I think we can set the world on fire. Let me say right off the bat
2:24.2	these are born not just of you know theoretical musing but born of a lot of practical experience.
