Barrett. Bishop Barrett, great to have you. Thank you, Brandon. Always great to be on with

you. So we're here on the cusp of Bishop Barrett's visit to the Philippines. By the time this

comes out, he'll actually be in the Philippines, but we're recording it a couple days early.

And he's going there for the International Eucharist at Congress, which is being held in

Seibou City in the Philippines. He'll be giving three talks and then around the Philippines.

One of them is on the Eucharist. One of them is on the three paths to holiness, which

we talked in depth about in the last episode. But the third talk is on the new evangelization.

And in particular, the seven qualities of a new evangelist. So we're going to go into

each of those seven qualities here. So let's start with the first one. The first one is

that somebody who carries out the new evangelization needs to be in love with Jesus Christ.

Yeah. Well, it's so important to note that evangelization is much more than the sharing

of information, though you never accuse me of being down on the churches intellectual

life. But it means to share a friendship, to share a friendship with the Son of God.

If you don't have that friendship, you can't share it. So you might have all kinds of

information. You might be theologically astute. But what you're trying to share, finally,

is not information, but a relationship. Here's someone I'd like you to meet. Here's

someone that I know. In fact, this friendship is the most important of my life. And I want

you to share it, too. So I'd like you to meet the Lord Jesus, namo.quaddonhabit is the

advantage that means no one gives what he doesn't have. If you yourself don't have a friendship

with the Lord, you can't possibly share it with anybody else. And so theology contributes
