All right, church, you're excited?

I hope so, man.

Hey, grab your Bible, Matthew, Chapter 25.

We're going to dig right in.

We are in week five of this series called the Upside Down Kingdom.

There are two kingdoms at work.

There's the kingdom of this world that is ruled by an enemy that wants

to kill, still, and destroy everything good and godly in your life. And then there's another

kingdom. There's the kingdom of heaven. And this king sent his son on a rescue mission to seek

and save us and to invite us into his kingdom where he has for us an abundant life.

And so, so far we've talked about power, we've talked about money.

Last week we talked about sex.

That was fun.

Gretchen went out of town, so I don't know what that means.

This week, we're talking about the kingdom of God and work.

The kingdom of God and work. The kingdom of God and work.

You see, we live in a culture that wants us to be defined by the thing that we do.

We live in a culture that wants us to believe that our value is in what we produce.

In fact, it starts at a very, very early age.

Think about this.

If you ask a little kid, eight years old or whatever,

what do you want to be when you grow up?
