Would you turn please in your Bibles this evening to the book of Hebrews?

Book of Hebrews chapter 13.

Hebrews 13 and 5.

Hebrews 13, 5.

The scripture said, let your conversation be without covetousness.

Everybody say without covetousness.

And he said, be content with such things as you have for.

Now, it is very important that you don't just put a period after content with such things as you have.

Your contentment is not just with your present state.

People have tried to take that phrase and say, well, you know, even if you're living in a cardboard box, be content with your cardboard box.

Is the Lord saying be content to live in that cardboard box the rest of your life?

Have no vision.

Have no faith?

No.

No.

Be content.

You know, we talked about in Philippians, Paul said, I have learned in whatever state I'm in.

To be content, the word therewith is in italics, so it's not really there.

He just said, in whatever condition I'm in, I have learned how to be content.

Not just content with your car, with your house, with your stuff,

but content independently of anything.

Isn't that what he's talking about here?
