McAdams, our co-host. Daniel, welcome to the program. Good morning, Dr. Paul. How are you this morning?

Doing well. Good. Keeping my eyes and ears open. There's a lot of politics and going on.

There is a lot. And we have an activist president, if you haven't noticed. He does a lot of stuff.

Hyper activist.

He reverses a lot of stuff.

He better be on your toes.

Exactly.

But I'm not watching him today as closely as I'm watching a very special meeting that goes

on every three or four months and that's the Fed meeting.

The Fed and the Fed. and the Fed is made up

of people who are very very confident of their ability they are geniuses because they

claim at least they claim their genius that they know what interest rates should be so

they meet every once in a while to get together and hash it over and

make a prediction that is very ambivalent. You can't figure out what it is. It doesn't mean a whole lot.

But they're having the meeting today and tomorrow they're going to announce what the interest rates are

going to do. Should they raise the interest rates or lower the interest rate?

Quite frankly, I don't think it matters because the marketplace has a lot to say about what real interest rates are,

what people will pay to borrow money.

So that's something that is affected in the markets today, and there are a lot of other reasons for gold

to be affected. But when the Fed meets, the gold price bounces all over the place. So as we

speak, the gold prices up about $60 plus and they're anticipating that the Fed is going to say something that's not going to solve
