The Church has the privilege of proclaiming the greatest news in all of history, that God

sent His Son to be the Savior of the world.

However, the fact that this gospel message is good news doesn't mean it's going to be

popular.

In fact, those who proclaim Jesus should expect opposition and persecution.

In this message from Mark chapter 6 verses 14 through 29, David Clap points to the example

of John the Baptist dead as a reminder that following Jesus is costly, but as scripture

also makes clear, the reward of following Jesus is greater than the cost.

walking through storms in your life, in your family, in some of you, with kids, students,

or with parents, in your work, in the world, in a world of war and strife, God, pray for

your peace and for your mercy over Ukraine and surrounding countries.

But there's actually a way to smile, even in the middle of the storms in our lives.

The storms in this world, there's a joy to be had, and other worldly, calm, and supernatural

peace to be experienced in the middle of the storm when you're sailing home.
