We're in the series with friends like these, where I share cases where

friends turn upon friends and become deadly. This week I share a shockingly brutal case,

where a young man is murdered by his very best friend. Bear warning, the violence in this case

is particularly brutal, and while I don't often go in a graphic detail, I feel that this

time it is necessary to share this to give you a look into how this crime became so infamous,

for its brutality, as well as because of who the perpetrators were. I will remind you when we

approach that portion of this episode, in case you want to skip ahead a minute or two. This is the case of the murder of Bobby Kent.

Veronica and Martin Puccio lived in the Hollywood Hills section of Hollywood, Florida, in the early

1970s.

It was the perfect neighborhood to raise their three sons, they thought.

It was just blocks from Hollywood Hills Elementary School, where the boys would attend,

and there was a Catholic church close by, where they would worship and become active in the church community.

Martin worked for a film production company that was based in Miami, just a few miles south of their home.

It provided studio facilities to filmmakers for post-production

work. Veronica worked part-time as a receptionist in a doctor's office, but her main role was caring

for her expanding family. Three boys kept her busy with their school and church activities, as well as
