you missed last week's interview, I talked to Maya Stark, women's professional golfer. We

chatted shortly after she won the U.S. Women's Open on the

LPGA tour. It was a fascinating conversation on what it's truly like to be a professional in golf,

all the things you have to pay for out of pocket and how money or lack thereof can

really impede your play. At one point, she told me how she was breaking it down per hole,

how much it cost her if she missed it or didn't advance in the tournament.

It was crazy.

There was some mental gymnastics that she definitely has to go through that I don't think

in team sports you really have to break down as much.

One of my favorite parts of the conversation, though, was Maya talking about her relationship

with her caddy and her caddies in the past. The friendship, the trust that builds over time

is very inspiring. I truly had no idea. I think when you are kind of the outside looking in, you think of a caddy as maybe in the same realm as a coach, but it is much more than that. She talks about how she used her coach from her national team. She's from Sweden. And we were able to dive more into what a caddy's role truly is and what

she looks for in a caddy. Fascinating stuff. The friendship, the trust that builds over time is
