Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal will meet at Wimbledon for the first time since their classic 2008 final.
To discuss how they both got there, and the rest of the day’s men's quarter-final action, Catherine, David and Matt are joined by Molly McElwee, a reporter for Telegraph Women’s Sport.
Were today’s matches underwhelming? Or did they just demonstrate how far ahead of the rest of the field Djokovic, Nadal and Federer all are? And what might happen on Friday?
Elsewhere, there’s chat about the end for Serena WIlliams and Andy Murray, as well as a preview of tomorrow’s women’s semi-finals.
Does Strycova have the game to disrupt Serena? How will Serena’s mixed doubles exit affect her? And why has Svitolina vs. Halep been such a significant rivalry in the past?
There will be daily editions of The Tennis Podcast throughout Wimbledon, produced in association with The Telegraph.
Our daily predictions will be going out in our morning e-mail newsletter from Wimbledon, as will Matt's Stat and a Memory Lane trip into the archives. Sign up free - http://po.st/TTP_Newsletter

0:00.0 | Hi, I'm John McEnore. I'm Bjorn Borg. This is Martina Navratlova. I'm Matt Vylander. I'm Stan Ravinka. I'm Lighten Youet. I'm Andy Murray and you're listening to the tennis podcast. |
0:10.0 | It is on. Raffa El Nadal will face Roger Federer for the first time at Wimbledon for 11 years and they are nearly old enough to get their bus passes and yet they are going to be sharing Centre Court once again on Friday because they have both won through their Court of Finals today. |
0:38.0 | Roger Federer in 4 against Kenishikori, Sam Query in 3. No, Raffa on the Dow in 3 against Sam Query. That's good, you didn't learn a Dow offense. No one believed you David. |
0:51.0 | Make sure everyone's paying attention. Yes, where are you guys? It is on Query vs Federer. Bring it. And then we've got Sir Novak Jokovic against Roberto Batister who is going to have his stag do on Centre Court with his 6 mates who are supposed to be going out to Ibiza. |
1:07.0 | He is going to be there watching him and cheering him on and barricuing Jokovic. All this stuff is going to happen on Friday and we are going to tell you about what happened today in the company of Catherine. |
1:21.0 | Hello, Catherine. Hello, David. Matt Roberts. Hello. Hello. And a very special guest for the first time here on the tennis podcast from the Telegraph. We have Molly McCall. Hello, Molly. |
1:30.0 | Hiya. You're right. Yeah, very good. What do you think of Wimbledon so far? |
1:34.0 | It's my second Wimbledon, so I mean, I'm enjoying it a lot more this time because I can actually find everything a lot easier. |
1:41.0 | Okay, show me. I get lost. |
1:44.0 | So I'm actually getting on to court on time, which is really great. Excellent. Excellent. So we've all been monitoring what's been going on today. |
1:54.0 | Catherine, upon sitting down, you seemed a little underwhelmed by the day's play that we've witnessed today. |
2:01.0 | I was a little more beat about it. You were overwhelmed. I don't think anyone was overwhelmed. No. |
2:06.0 | So anyone want to declare themselves overwhelmed by what they saw today? Can you be overwhelmed? Is that a thing? |
2:13.0 | I think David is overwhelmed. I'm a little bit underwhelmed. I think possibly my underwhelming is attributable to the loss of Surandi. |
2:22.0 | Because actually the men's singles results perhaps were about par, barring a disappointing two and a half sets from David Goff out of which we will speak more in due course. |
2:36.0 | I think the rest was about par, but the result out on court too, sorry for the bias, but I think bias is allowed in mixed doubles, isn't it? |
2:47.0 | I think the reason I'm biased is because that partnership, and Matt and I went and watched their match on Centricort last night, made me feel like a teenage tennis fan again. |
2:57.0 | It made me feel just electrified. This is something so exciting and so beyond tennis. So I'm sad that that fairy tale has died. |
3:07.0 | It was like waking up from a dream today, wasn't it? It had been so nice and so lovely. |
3:12.0 | And then it all just crumbled on court too, like so many other dreams that went more than this year. |
3:18.0 | It was in a great mood until this podcast got to that. |
3:21.0 | I sat down, Catherine's got me a beer. |
