On a cold October afternoon in Lacey, Washington, 17-year-old Fatima Ali's cries pierced the silence outside Timberland High School.

Her parents were enraged by her refusal to go home and get ready to leave on a one-way ticket to Iraq and for daring to date an American classmate.

They launched a violent scene in broad daylight.

Her father allegedly strangled her

until she went limp while her mother joined in, dragging her across pavement as students screamed.

Witnesses rushed in, pulling them off as Fatima ran to safety. Authorities later called it

a chilling, attempted honor killing.

Now charged with attempted murder and kidnapping, her parents sit in a courtroom fighting for their freedom, hoping the jury does not believe the testimony of their own daughter.

22 year old William McNeil Jr being pulled from his car in Jacksonville, Florida.

Just before this, he refused to exit his locked vehicle without explanation after being pulled over.

McNeil questioned the reason for the traffic stop and asked to speak to a supervisor.

After several warnings over the course of several minutes,

the officer shattered McNeil's driver window and punched him in the face. McNeil's viral phone video
