Hi everyone, this is John Roca and I am Steve Morris and we're here to do a special introduction

for our reissuing of the broadcast news episode that we did with the great Kim Masters, am I correct

on that Steve?

That's right.

And we might say we're re-broadcasting broadcast news now for a re-broadcasting broadcast

news.

Once again, you know, for a reason that we are remiss to bring up, but because of the passing

of William Hurt, the young, I would say 71 years old, certainly for nowadays, 71 is kind

of young.

Yeah, I mean, you know, there have been a whole bunch of people in the last year, people

like Clorce Leachman and Ed Asner, and that had lived these, you know, they were in

their 90s.

And he likes, you know, Betty White, you know, but this one 71 is young and he's such

a vital, interesting actor.

I mean, I literally just said to John, you know, off the mic that he is a completely unique,

he's his own thing.

Yeah.

He's his own time zone.

He's a fascinating actor that you could have easily lumped into the Waspish 1980s actors

that came through, did their thing and maybe went on their way.

But somehow William Hurt, because of his dedication to the craft, because of his unusual

nature, his commanding presence by doing very little, yeah, has found a connection with
