Hello and welcome to another edition of the Political Party replay series.

This edition is with William Hague from 2017 and he is as funny and as wonderful as you would imagine and this was a tree. This is one of my favorites and whenever I'm asked

who the funniest guest in the history of the series is it's it's William Hague and it's

based on this interview because he's just fantastic and he has such a distinctive voice obviously

which I have mimicked for many years. Actually sitting opposite him really helped me do it.

I think there's a bit in this where I do try it on him which is just

terribly awkward because I'm not entirely sure I do myself justice with it but he takes it very, very well.

What a funny bloke and you think about the Tory party in 2017 and what it's going through

it is and this is June 2017 sorry so you have to Brexit Theresa May and all that

lots going on.

This is just absolutely phenomenal.

And a real demonstration of why people were so wrong

to underestimate him at the time.

And because he was always clearly very bright always clearly very sharp and his

wit is unlike anything in politics I mean there's no one since as as funny as him and

he has real and sometimes only when you are physically opposite someone

you realize all there because when they're on tell you obviously they're in fully professional

mode on an evening like this in a cabaret bar there is a different vibe to them and you get more of a sense of their personality

It's just such a playful boyish
