A, will tissue culture make clones obsolete? I know the answer. I know the answer to that. Not yet, not yet. Tish culture is pretty damn cool, but we're also going to talk about how to keep your strain collection alive. There's different methods out there. Some are a little more tech than others and some a little more efficient, but how do we do that when you start to like your favorite strains? Tissue culture, man, petri dishes. I don't know. I wouldn't get into it because I started thinking.

It's hard to keep a bunch of mothers. I was talking to Jay R. talking about it. He's like, I gotta be real selective about it. I just don't, people want to give him clones. He's like, I don't have any room. It'd be great to keep these in rotation,

but he's got a couple that are staples. So, yeah, how do you do it?

I got that. We're going to talk tissue culture, mothers, clone from clone, seeds, a little bit

interesting stuff there. Let's start with tissue culture. You have a very good graphic here.

Wow. So what do you do? You're scraping the plant the same way you're cloning it. It's all about

sterilization. I've seen a lot of the people that do this or mycologists can get into this because

they're used to being super sterile.

But I believe you're just scraping the Cambrium layer, and I might be saying that wrong.

But there's a little layer under the skin, under the bark of the, you know, whatever you want to call it.

It's this layer where there's these life cells

and you can use the right kind of nutrients to grow them into multiple plantlets and they are

genetically clean. They, you know, you can, the hop latent viroids out of them and, you know,

all that stuff and they come back genetically clean pretty neat be cool to

just have some testers you're going to store these in we're going to check out just shortly what

inspired this was this girl doing a video but you're taking a node segment i do believe you want a leaflet

with it not just the layer and then put it in an agar, which is like going to be after it's sterilized

your nutrient solution.
