Summary

The president has urged Benjamin Netenyahu to “take the win” after thwarting an attack from Iran. The question now is how Israel responds, and if Joe Biden has any influence over it. Christiane Amanpour, the British/Iranian chief international anchor for CNN, joins Americast to assess what could happen next.

In Congress there’s a vote on a pivotal deal that would provide billions of dollars for Ukraine and Israel, and introduce more sanctions for Iran. It could change the course of the conflicts but it could also cost Speaker Mike Johnson his job. We’re asking whether he can survive yet another MAGA rebellion.

isn't it Sarah some have found it more gripping than others yes the media outside was

one of the largest packs I've ever seen inside it kind of looked as though Donald Trump might be

nodding off. I know it's hard to believe maybe he'd had a sleepless night the

0:34.4

slumping forward and there was a BBC reporter inside the courtroom watching this and she said

0:41.0

it was hard to tell if he was actually asleep or not but it definitely looked as though he could be

0:45.3

It's quite something the first former president ever facing a criminal trial and he's maybe going to sleep through it.

Has this been noticed, Mariana, by anyone?

0:56.0

It has.

Although, you know, as we've chatted about before,

Joe Biden has his Sleepy Joe nickname,

one that I imagine he's probably quite keen to shake but

1:04.8

that definitely is used a lot on social media and people have been coming up with

some slightly more inventive names for Donald Trump Don Snorlioni and The Nodfather are examples.

What's interesting though and I do think is that a lot of the people posting this stuff

1:20.5

about Trump are people who already don't like Donald Trump.

1:23.6

Whereas the difference is a lot of the clips of Biden that show this kind of thing

1:27.3

cut through with people who you'd think might actually want to vote for him.

1:30.7

And that for me feels like the crucial difference between the way that
