Right, so everyone's been telling me to get on to Threads.

And I don't really feel like I need to distract myself with more social media, but here goes.

I've downloaded it and I'll just explain how it looks in case you haven't seen it yet.

It's a really simple black and white interface and all you see is a timeline of people's names and their comments.

The format is almost indistinguishable from Twitter, except that people can post longer messages and videos.

But the tone, at least for the moment, is less hostile among the people that I follow.

So you've got someone giving cooking tips, someone else is just posting puns, the links to news articles,

and there's Britney Spears promoting her new book.
