Today I want to talk about Georgia.

I've been practicing criminal law teaching criminal law

for 60 years.

I have never seen anything like what's going on in Georgia.

Where do we begin?

First, they have this weird thing called a special grand jury.

Why? What's it supposed to do?

It's supposed to not indict,

not decide whether anybody should be brought to trial.

It's just supposed to gather information,

but if it's going to gather information,

why not have both sides presented?

Why not have a hearing open so that the public could see it?
