And I just wanted to ask you because we touched on this in the past, the idea of understanding a culture can help you understand geopolitics.

And like the psychology of a culture and what motivates their actions specifically since

China is such a huge player right now in this information warfare that's going on and I lived in

China and worked in China for a short time and it was one of the most bizarre experiences in my life

just turned everything that I know to be normal, all these norms that I

come to understand about Western civilization that were all flipped over and I felt angry all

the time because of that. So can you go into this idea of losing face and how that plays into

everything? I think the biggest,

the biggest division between countries like China, Japan and the West is group versus individual.

So in a group culture, you find your identity in the group.

So you show loyalty to the group.

Like in Japan is something like, I work for General Electric and that's who I am.

Yes, exactly.

And in China, you know, being a group culture means Africa is a group culture, by and large,

you know, Black Africa is a group culture.

You show loyalty to your tribe, and in return, your tribe protects you and doles out the resources,

which works very well on a lush but rather dangerous continent, where your very survival depends on your loyalty to the group. I see this a lot in South Africa where we have this invisible division
