Summary

Adam Butler has been a wildlife biologist at the Mississippi Department of Wildlife Fisheries and Parks focused on wild turkeys since 2008. He has been the wild turkey program coordinator for the state since 2018. In his duration spent in these roles he spent vast amounts of time in the field, researching and studying wild turkeys. He's seen a lot, he's learned a lot, he's watched research change and update. 1:01.8	So, Adam, in the role that you've been, how long, when did you start as a technical program coordinator?
1:09.2	I started with the Mississippi Department of Wildlife and
1:12.4	Fisheries in 2008 and I was I was really blessed that when I got brought in or when I got hired
1:20.6	as a biologist I was kind of put under Dave Godwin who was the turkey program coordinator at the time
1:25.7	and just is really well known and respected kind of in our field so I
1:31.1	I guess I spent about it seven and eight years kind of under him and and then he
1:36.4	ended up leaving the agency and I assume the coordinator the turkey coordinator role in 2016 okay something like that
1:43.5	yeah you're working on tenure then.
1:46.2	Yeah.
1:46.8	You know, I had a birthday yesterday and turned 43 and it's, you know, in my head I'm still like 25 or something, you know.
