All righty. So we are on chapter three. This is a fun chapter for me. This was a real fun chapter for me to write, to be honest with you. Let me see here. Let me get this all ready to go. I hope you guys are all doing really well. All right. Chapter three, an obedient wife is actually man's best friend.

Here you go. So we have, when I wrote this chapter, I was really lucky to have my husband's assistance on

this because he's, as many of you might or might not know, he's got a degree in philosophy.

And that actually had a lot to do with what we talked about in this chapter, a lot of Aristotle.

So bear with me.

You'll get a little bit of a philosophy lesson today, hopefully a very easy, simple one.

So first off, a husband and wife are a friendship of unequals.

This probably is, I would say, among the most controversial things

that we talk about, the hierarchy of the home has become a hot topic lately. And I've noticed that

people don't typically, it's either they misunderstand how this works or they intentionally

don't want to say how this works that there is a

hierarchy of the home because women find this so horribly offensive. But we Catholics know that

men and women are equal in dignity, but we are not equal in rank. And this really should not be

that surprising because we have a lot of institutions that

were accustomed to seeing that in.

And that would be the Pope versus some of the lower bishops or the parish priests.

We're very comfortable with that, right?

There's a hierarchy there that doesn't tend to get us all upset.

Kings and subjects, another one that we're used to seeing and we're comfortable with,

and parents and their children.

Now it becomes when we tell women in society that they actually are not,

they do not enjoy the same rank as a man.
