0:50.7	This is not a back-to-school special episode, but we will definitely be folding that in as
0:56.9	part of the discussion. Here in the next couple of weeks, students will be returning or going to school.
1:03.5	You may have new teachers, new professors, you will have principals and other authority figures,
1:09.6	the grounds upon which you learn will have rules and
1:13.1	regulations. And if that's the situation you're going to be in, I have questions. I want to know
1:18.4	what your attitude is about that. Are you willing to accept the rules that are placed there? Are you
1:24.6	the kind of person always feeling like you are an exception to those rules,
1:29.0	or they ought to be changed to accommodate your situation? In my experience, following the guidelines
1:35.1	given are not difficult if I am humble enough to believe that I belong under those guidelines,
1:41.4	and that following them is good for me and helpful to everyone else.
1:45.4	And so I have a story to share with you from 1996, a really cool one, that I hope will
1:50.0	connect those ideas for the younger listener and give you the right attitude and optimistic
1:56.5	attitude about what is coming. However, as we talk about those authority constructs today, I also want to
2:03.1	talk to the adults who will be on the other end of each of those relationships. I mean, taking school
2:09.7	out of it, we could just talk about how things are at home. What are the standards of behavior at home?
