This is Southern Baptist study in their own churches.

They found upwards to 80% of their kids

were losing their faith by the freshman year of college.

Well, that's not

successful discipleship. One of the most startling things I noticed going up there was how many

kids I've asked, do you have any religious background? And they would say, oh yeah, I grew up in

the church. I went to a Christian school. I went to youth group. I went to Sunday school. And

then I said, well, what happened? Well, I came to college, and I realized that my Christian faith was incompatible with modern science.

When you spank your two-year-old and your three-year-old for throwing fits, what you were disciplining there is the porn problem when they're 14.

It's so easy to think like this.

I got 18 years to raise my kids.

No, you got about five.

That's, yeah. Well, it goes,

it goes back to concrete hardens way sooner than you've got five. So what are you pouring in at five that has a good foundation of build on? Right. When you spank, when you discipline, what you're doing

is you're saying, I will not let you leave the joy.
