Summary
A slow week in college basketball has Matt Norlander trying to explain to Gary Parrish what multiple universe theory is, and why this very podcast might be part of a simulation of what we perceive to be reality. (You can thank NBA draft prospect Lonnie Walker for this, as the podcast explains.) The duo starts at the top of the episode by looking at potential preseason All-America choices for 2018-19. From there, the guys put Tennessee?s No. 3 ranking in the CBS Sports Top 25 (and one) into perspective. Weird to see Tennessee so high, but the Vols are a valid pick in the 3 spot. Norlander also provides his two NBA Draft sleeper picks, one of which is Lonnie Walker, which then opens up the conversation on, well, you?ll just have to listen to find out.

| 0:00.0 | Hey there, it's Gary Perkshik Thursday, May 24, 2018. Welcome back to the Iron College |
| 0:20.6 | Basketball Podcast. Got Matt Norlander here with me and there hasn't been much that's |
| 0:25.5 | happened in the past week as it relates to the sport of college basketball. But the deadline |
| 0:30.7 | for underclassmen who have not secured representation to withdraw from the NBA draft is approaching. |
| 0:36.8 | It's May 30th and on this Thursday morning, a couple of developments. I guess that are |
| 0:42.0 | no worthy, even though they are hardly surprised as Luke May is withdrawing from the NBA draft |
| 0:46.8 | and returning to North Carolina. Sakabakate is withdrawing from the NBA draft. He's going |
| 0:50.9 | to return to West Virginia. I always struggle with how to react to these things because, again, |
| 0:56.7 | it's just a byproduct of the process that's in place. Nobody, like literally nobody, thought |
| 1:03.0 | Luke May was actually leaving North Carolina for good or cannot they was actually leaving West |
| 1:07.8 | Virginia for good. And so I find it difficult to care when they actually announced that they're |
| 1:15.1 | withdrawing from the NBA draft because I never thought they were doing anything other than that. |
| 1:19.2 | But it does confirm that Caroline is going to have a possible all-American back in West Virginia. |
| 1:26.3 | It's going to have a defensive monster back. And so if nothing else, it's expected, but still good |
| 1:33.7 | news for North Carolina and West Virginia, right? Hey, GP, this is fun news. Even if it's expected, |
| 1:39.1 | I think Luke May is a virtual lock to be a preseason all-America pick next fall on behalf of the AP. |
| 1:45.4 | And I would think on behalf of us as well. He averaged 16.9 points, 10.1 boards last year, |
| 1:51.9 | 2.4 assists had huge jumps in production. His star really came to be when he played so impressively |
| 2:01.0 | against Kentucky in the Elite Eight the year before. And that was when he really was just a bit |
| 2:06.9 | player, but he came back after that run for Carolina when they won the national title and then |
| 2:11.5 | stepped up in a huge way. They get him back. I think that's pretty huge. Him and Cam Johnson could |
| 2:16.2 | make for a mighty fine 1-2 duo. And absolutely, Caroline has got to be considered a preseason top 10 |
