Welcome to the Intentional Parents Podcast. Intentional exists to help parents in their

God-given task to raise passionate Jesus followers. We exist to bring hope, help, and healing

to families. Each week we will talk about anything from parenting, marriage, lifestyle,

and what it looks like to follow Jesus in our time. Intentional is made up of

Phil and Diane Comer and Brooke and Elizabeth Moser. I am Brooke and the funny thing is we are all

family. Elizabeth is Phil and Diane's daughter so we're a family figuring this thing out together.

thing called life is together. Elizabeth and I are your hosts. Let's get into this

week's podcast. Well today was a really fun episode wasn't it honey? Yes. And why was it a fun

episode? Because it was our dear friend Sally Lemos who is just a friend and mentor to us and

also a therapist and we first met Sally a couple of years ago and as soon as I met her I just felt

like I could not wait to share her with all of you. We first reached out to her to just help

us a little bit with one of our kids who was really struggling with anxiety and that morphed into

her helping one of our kids and then helping me and she became my therapist and she is just a wealth

of wisdom, of actual training in the psychology world and she just is a woman who deeply loves

Jesus and who is filled with the spirit and is doing some beautiful work in marrying what we now

know about psychology and what we know of theology and the scriptures and just bringing Jesus into

everything she does. So in this conversation we talk about attachment theory she explains it in a

way that's really easy to understand and we talk about why we respond to certain things the way

that we do, why we react in certain ways. We talk about how to connect with our teenagers when

they're struggling, what it brings up in us, so many good things and we just cannot wait to share
