The Rudy Gobert introductory press conference was today and in that press conference

and some of the media availability afterwards.

I think we began to understand why the wolves made this trade.

And so much the discourse surrounding the trade has been about why this was an overpay by the wolves.

But that was all coming from the media and national media.

But the wolves themselves have not had the chance to explain and describe why they don't agree with that.

I mean, obviously they don't agree.

They didn't need to give up everything they gave up to Land Gobert.

They chose to give that all up.

So I think the question is why.

Why did they choose to give up five first-round picks, a pick swap, and a handful of productive players on reasonable contracts?

You know, what about Rudy Gobert and his fit on this roster makes that a reasonable price to pay for his services.

That's the question, right?

And Tim Connolly answered that question in a few different ways at the press conference,

but I thought this answer in the media scrum after the press conference was Conley's sort of

most to the point answer.
