Hey guys, how's it going? Welcome back to another Star Wars theory podcast.

Why did the Jedi and Mandalorians hate each other so much? Well there's a very long and

extensive history as to why and what resolved it at least for a momentary period in time,

and we're gonna go over all of those things to sit back and relax. Now the Mandalorians

despise the Jedi and vice versa. It's a well-known fact in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian

Jedi War was a series of fights and conflicts spanning through generations of the Star

Wars universe. It's most likely the thing to blame for this hatred. Now the war has been

mentioned in Star Wars the Clone Wars and the Mandalorian as a particularly dark period

in Mandalorian history. It resulted in the devastation of Mandalore with much of the planet

surface left uninhabitable. Now of course the Empire destroyed the planet entirely but before

that the Mandalorians have had civil war amongst themselves and war with other factions

and well aliens that war is not really anything new to Mandalorians or the planet itself.

Which is one of the reasons why there's such great warriors because they've been doing

it for so long. It's in their blood. Now it really gets down to the nitty-gritty's and

this is what it's about. Mandalorian culture values honor strength and independence which

is quite a stark contrast to the Jedi's philosophy of selflessness and service. Now the Jedi

Order saw the Mandalorians as a threat to the entire galaxy and the galaxy's stability.

So they worked to contain their expansion. They saw these guys kind of like as nomads

just warring and taking over. The Jedi Order was at the forefront of the Republic's efforts

to stop the Mandalorian expansion which led to a long and bitter war. Now one thing about

the Jedi is they felt very righteous I think and we see this perfectly example by Mace

Windu. Now the Jedi Order also saw the Mandalorians as a warrior culture that glorified violence
