Summary

Today I’m sharing with you why I wrote my new book. It’s not a marketing podcast. It’s a very short explanation of why I can’t tell you exactly HOW to homeschool your kids.  I am confident you won’t be disappointed as I share several things that you may not have ever really thought about and how knowing these things will help you homeschool more confidently. The ultimate goal of The Four Hour School Day? To realize how doable homeschooling really is and that yes, you are in fact qualified to give your kids a full and robust education…and it doesn’t have to take all day! Please check out The Four Hour School Day on Amazon, your favorite bookseller, or at my website, durendawilson.com

And the main, basically the only criticism that I've gotten is the fact that I don't tell people how to homeschool four hours a day

1:16.2

or less. So just a little reminder for those of you who maybe haven't or have read the book

1:24.6

and to those of you who haven't read the book, here's what I want to say.

1:30.4

First of all, I do share what homeschooling for four hours or less a day looked like for our

1:41.0

family. So I do give examples there of what it looked like for us. Here's the deal.

1:48.8

I can't tell you what it's going to look like for you. Because at the end of the day, what I'm

1:55.2

sharing are principles. What I'm sharing are the reasons why it doesn't have to take you more than four

2:03.8

hours a day. And when I say four hours a day, I'm talking four hours for my high schoolers.

2:09.5

My kindergartners, first graders, you know, we're talking to zero to 15 minutes or 30 minutes

depending on the kid. So it was sort of like this sliding

2:19.6

scale where it started out far, you know, next to nothing in the beginning and slowly built

2:25.1

from there. And that's one of the main premises of the book is just to take sort of an
