Why seek advice?

Theme text. Wisdom belongs to those who seek advice. Proverbs 1310. Song 88, make me know your ways.

Focus. What we must do to benefit fully from the advice we receive.

Paragraph 1 question.

How can we make wise decisions and have our plans succeed?

All of us want to make wise decisions,

and all of us want our plans to succeed.

God's word tells us how we can achieve both of those goals.

Proverbs 1310 reads,

presumptuousness leads only to strife, but wisdom belongs to those who seek advice.

Chapter 15, verse 22, reads,

Plans fail when there is no consultation,

but there is accomplishment through many advisors.

Paragraph 2, question.

What does Jehovah promise to do for us? Of course, the best person we can go to for

wisdom and advice is our Father Jehovah. He promises to help us, saying, I will give you advice

with my eye upon you. Psalm 32. This statement shows that Jehovah does more than just give us advice. He takes a

personal interest in us and helps us to apply his counsel. The footnote reads,
