0:22.3	Joining us is Louisiana Congressman Cleo Fields from Louisiana's 6th District. He is in his first
0:29.9	term in Congress in this district, but he was also a member of Congress in the 90s for a couple
0:35.9	terms. So, Congressman, thank you for joining us today.
0:38.2	Oh, it's good to be with you, Tim. I've been hearing so much about your show, so it's just an honor to be on it.
0:43.2	Oh, well, thank you very much. And we are very excited to have you as well. I think first for our listeners, because as we were talking before, we haven't had a lot of Southern Democrats on, but we'd love to hear a little bit about your district.
0:54.2	Like who do you represent and where in Louisiana?
0:57.3	Louis, it's the sixth congressional district.
1:01.3	It comprised of 10 parishes, East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, Poinker Pee, St.
1:07.8	Lange, Ovales, Rapese, knackettish, on up to De Soda and Cattle.
1:16.8	So it's ten parishes, it's run from like the center of the district all the way to the Noggin part of the district.
1:22.4	That's great.
1:24.2	That's great.
1:24.7	And, you know, we were talking before.
1:25.3	I just mentioned that you were a member of Congress in the 90s for two terms, I believe. And then this is your first term coming back. Just curious, what is the difference that you have seen? Because a lot of people in Congress, well, a lot of them were there in the 90s still, but like it has changed quite a bit.
1:26.6	And I'm curious from your perspective, since you've been back for about eight months now,
1:48.8	what is the difference that you've seen compared to the first time you're in Congress?
1:52.1	Well, the biggest difference is besides technology.
1:56.0	I mean, back when I was here 32 years ago, the technology, everybody used a beeper. When it was time to vote, beepers would go off and members would go and go to the floor and vote. Other than that,
2:02.8	it's much more partisan now than it was back then. Back then, I was, you know, I served on the
2:09.2	Speaker Tom Foley and under Newt Gendrick, both a Democrat and a
2:16.0	Republican. But I vividly remembered when Tom Foley was Speaker of the House, he would say to us
