Today, I will be talking to you not about current events, but about an aspect of apologetics

that predominates many areas of the Catholic apologetics world,

how to discourse with your Protestant family and friends, their brothers in Christ,

but they are oh so wrong. And here's what, after consulting with some of my patrons,

some of my students online, some just friends.

What I came up with is the following.

The corners of the Catholic blogosphere that most often deal with Protestants

and the kind of evangelization that a Catholic ought to be doing to Protestants

overcomplicates things by great lengths,

by great lengths.

So today, here on Rules for Retrogrades, I am going to show you the two primary ways,

and I'm going to segment each two into two, so it'll be like 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B,

that you ought to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt, scripturally, that Protestants are wrong and you don't have to get

spun off in the weeds with issues like Mary, the Saints, purgatory, those issues are a waste of time.

And if you allow the conversation to go in the direction of Mary,

Pergatory, the Saints, even though Catholic answers and apostolists like that,

which do a good job dispelling the problems with such issues, you're playing a

Protestant game. You're doing apologetics and evangelization in the wrong way using their

lingo and their borrowed terms. The Catholic way to do it involves two basic dimensions.
