1:04.0

Jets fans should be optimistic as the calendar turns from 2024 to 2025. And I feel like this show

1:10.6

is necessary to do because there's a lot

1:13.1

of pessimism right now in the New York Jets fan base. And that's completely understandable. The Jets currently

1:18.8

on the longest playoff drought, not just in the NFL, but in any of the four major North American

1:24.2

professional sports leagues. And they are coming off just a tremendously disappointing

1:28.5

season. A lot of Jets fans were expecting big things this year from this team. And the team ended up

1:33.5

going five and 12 and it leads to us turning the page, another new coaching staff in front office

1:39.3

coming in, another new quarterback coming in the end of the Aaron Rogers era. And there are a lot of fans out there who wanted Rogers to return. I was not among them. I'm not going to mention the decision to move on from Rogers, although I think it wasn't positive for the franchise.

2:05.7

I think that, you know, we can debate that a lot, and we probably will continue to debate that

2:10.5

a lot in the days and weeks ahead. But I think there are other things to discuss. I'm also not going

2:15.6

to discuss the new coaching staff and the new front office, even though I do think the odds are very high. The Jets are going to have better coaching this year. I mean, everybody always says that when they have a first year coach because usually you fired a bad coach. You assume the new guy is going to come in to be better. That doesn't always work out. But based on what the Jets had last year, where they essentially weren't coached for, you know, three quarters of the season.

2:36.7

After they fired Robert Sala, Jeff Oldberg was pulled in all sorts of different directions.

2:40.8

The Jets, it wasn't so much they had bad coaching.

2:42.7

It almost felt like they had no coaching for much of last season.

2:45.8

It stands the reason the Jets coaching is going to be better.
