Cooper Flag got his first tech against the Toronto Raptors.

And it just was kind of an innocuous play. It's his first tech so it stands out obviously but he was they were very physical with him and he was getting frustrated and this is something that's kind of been building. If this was just a one-off and it was not something that I think was a trend or anything, I probably wouldn't spend so much time talking about it. But I think that it mattered because I think this is something we've seen from Cooper Flagg is he didn't necessarily hit a rookie wall. He had those three games where he was not shooting the ball super well. He had the injury who was out for like eight games. And maybe that was his wall, but that doesn't really really count as one, like a spot where he's been, you know, struggled or been frustrated. He's kind of been in the NBA and he struggled at certain things, but he's taken to the NBA

and has been a star already for the Dallas Mavericks, which has been awesome to see.

But he is getting in these last couple of games frustrated with the refs, frustrated with the

non-calls, frustrated with the amount of physicality he's having to take. As a player that drives, you know, creates contact himself, gets to the lane, can do a lot of things. A big player that's 6-9, 6-10, that can finish around the rim, that can drive like that, that can dribble like he can, that can dribble in traffic like he can to get some really good defenders, that's a guy that can do a lot of things. Those are guys that just don't come around every day. And the ones that actually get downhill and drive, usually get to the free throw line a lot. And in this game against Raptors, he only got there three times. And he did not think that he should have gotten there three times. So he gets a technical foul.
