Let's pray together.

Father in heaven, I pray that you'd shake up a lot of lives tonight concerning the peoples of the world and shake up churches that perhaps

have been disoriented in regard to this priority of yours.

And I pray that some in this room

who are wondering why the roots of their lives

for the last months have been loosened and would find out tonight.

And I pray that stories would be told in the decades to come that you transformed churches with regard to the

finishing of the Great Commission and drew some people from being

senders to goers.

And so that and a lot more now

that I can't even anticipate, I ask you to do for the glory of Christ.

In His name we pray. Amen.

So just to say the title again, why the glory of God is at stake in making people,

people's, people plural.

There are huge segments of the English-speaking world for whom the

pluralization of the word people would be very strange. It would sound to them like sheeps and mooses because it's not

part of their experience.

And if you're one of those, I'm here to change that.

And if you're one of those, it's very likely that you're one of those it's very likely that your missology is defective and probably

your vision for why God created the universe is defective if the word peoples is

foreign to your vocabulary. If you're not at home with the word peoples, if you don't use it regularly,

then probably you're defective at serious levels of your thinking
