Hello, hello everybody. Welcome back to another episode of Fluently Forward. Today, we are doing the Sydney Sweeney American Eagle ad campaign episode. I am ready to give my Fluently Forward take. This episode is coming a little bit late because I had to work in so many different research pieces and deep dives into this. And even though this episode is late, it's actually not because two days ago, Donald Trump

himself decided to weigh in on the Sydney-Sweeney American Eagle campaign.

And then he randomly at the end of it starts like ranting about like Taylor Swift.

She got brought into it.

Okay, that's my thing. Starting off a rant in one way,

and then at the end, working in a sentence about how maybe her and Carly Clause kissed at the

1975 concert and let's circle back on that and why aren't they friends. Taking a page out of my book,

but whatever, I guess he's the president. He gets to do that now.

We will be talking about her ad. We will be talking about eugenics. We will be talking about the great replacement conspiracy theory. Stay with me here, everybody. I think that they're all

connected. And of course, at the end, I will make a passionate case for why I think that Sidney

should be having Elon Musk's babies. And I'm only

half joking. The more that I think about it, the more I'm like, oh, Shannon, that started off as a joke.

I think it has legs. Could we see them dating by the end of 2025? Will the world exist by the end of

2025? If Katie Perry and Justin Trudeau are dating, and then by the

transitive property, Trump is tweeting about who's hotter, Sidney, or Taylor Swift, and then

could she be having his babies? I see it happening. I don't know. So anyway, without further ado,

let's get into it with the top. Sydney Sweeney and her ad with

American Eagle. But actually, her multiple ads, I think she did about five with American Eagle.

And the first time I saw the ad, it was on Reddit and it was being posted, not as an advertisement.

They were not targeting me. I'm going to talk a little bit later about the demographic that American Eagle has been targeting with this campaign.

But I saw it on some sort of like pop culture Reddit.

And it was of Sydney Sweeney and she's got, you know, the cans, the goods in a denim top.
