0:16.9	one of my favorite things to train a dog to do. And it's probably a topic that many
0:24.3	of you are going to say, I don't want to listen to this and you're going to turn off. I'm just
0:28.3	going to ask you this. If you love your dog, if you really, really love your dog, at least,

0:40.1	Okay, Susan, I'm going to listen to this just because I absolutely, truly love my dog.
0:44.8	I'm talking about comfort with confinement. Comfort with confinement.
0:51.8	I'm talking about crate training a dog and it came from a letter from one of my
0:59.0	online students. And she wrote, please help. We have had our new puppy born July 1st for two weeks now.
1:07.3	He does not have a crate but sleeps in the bed in the kitchen. This has just worked
1:11.5	out fine for the first week. He was happy at his bed, not crying at night, just happy to sleep
1:16.7	after playing, but now he has become destructive and he takes every opportunity to go at
1:21.6	something when I'm not around. So, calm and guess why he's doing it? Because he's a dog. That's why they explore with their mouths
1:30.9	and they're just, you know, exploring their environment. That's what baby puppies do for sure.
1:36.1	Okay, redundant baby puppies. I can't believe I said that. It drives me great, gray.
1:40.5	All right. This podcast is going to be about the who, what, where, why, and how
1:46.7	of crates. And remember, our deal, Susan, I love my dog, so I'm going to listen to this.
1:53.6	I'm going to start off with the why. Why should I care about crate training my dogs?
2:02.8	Now, if you don't know, I have a program called crate games, which is, you can buy it as a DVD
2:10.6	or an online program and it is a program that makes a dog love their crate, like, oh, cray, cray for a crate. So, why? Why would
2:22.8	you care? Let's take it the opposite. Why would people tell me, I don't want to crate my dog?
2:28.1	Number one is, I love my dog. I don't want to do that to him. That's the number one that I hear.
