We are nearing the end of and get ready for today's sermon.

We are nearing the end of a long study of a life of a guy named Elijah a prophet in the Old Testament. We've just got a few weeks left and today we're in 1st Kings chapter 22 find that place in your Bible and if

you're having a hard time finding it that's okay you've got an hour to find it

that's how long we're going to be doing this and today is 53 verses and 75 slides and so this is going to be a new record

and breakfast will be free all right that's that's where we're going okay and so

the question today is why does God allow evil and does God,

or how does God use it for good?

And we live in this very unique time

in human history where we know more

about what is happening in the world than any other people or persons in the

history of the world. On our phone every day we keep getting news but here's what's

concerning it's almost all bad news and if you love Jesus it's almost all bad news. And if you love Jesus, it's often really bad news.

And what we get as a result is an overwhelming avalanche

of evil and darkness.

We see it in our own life,

we see it in the lives of our friends and families,

we see it in our community, our nation, other nations,
