They said that, oh, net zero is only going to cost one to two percent of GDP.

People are beginning to realise this. This isn't going to be cheap.

And in fact, it's going to be disastrously expensive.

Just what would achieving net zero actually look like?

We're all being told we have to have smart meters in our homes.

And that will give central government the ability to switch off appliances in your home

when the wind isn't blowing.

In this episode, I sit down with Andrew Munford,

the director of net zero watch and author of The Hockey Stick Illusion.

So the whole machinery of government stops being about serving the people

and it is about directing the big.

I've been following your work for some time.

I thought we have kind of a perfect opportunity here.

Because on the one side, we have the White House, the US administration,

has rolled out a report talking about things, for example,

such as reducing the amount of sunlight by introducing material into the atmosphere.

And secondly, you also have this new paper that came out looking at recent NASA climate models.
