The Broncos were back at practice on Wednesday, preparing for the Houston Texans coming off their win against another Texas team, the Cowboys, on Sunday.

But their star player was not on the practice field. Pat Zutant officially did not practice today dealing with that pextrain.

We did not expect him to practice. So this was not news to us,

but he officially did not practice today, Henry. Yeah, like you said, we knew it was going to happen,

so it's not big news. It stinks, though. Really stinks to not have Pat Coutin in this game.

So after practice, we did get to talk to Sean Payton for the first time after Pat Certan's

injury, and he was asked, have the Broncos considered putting him on IR and Sean said we've considered everything which Henry how do you take that? I mean you got he's not going to say they didn't consider everything you got at least like think it through no answer Hopefully that means that he isn't on injured

reserve but we'll find out Saturday. So the good, the two things to watch for

with Pastor Tan potentially going on injured reserve, there's two hurdles that he

needs to get over and he already got over one of them. One of them is yesterday. Tuesday

is a day where players typically go on injured reserve especially because

the Broncos need to clear space for Dre Greenlaw, who is back. We'll talk about that in a second. Instead of putting Pastor Tan on IR yesterday, the Broncos cut Sam Ellinger, but he's already back on the practice squad. He was in the Broncos building today. Saw him in the locker room. So he is officially back. But Pat Sertan, the other hurdle he needs to clear is

Saturday. That's another day where the Broncos make big roster moves. And so if he does not go on injured reserve on Saturday, Henry, I do not think he's going to go on injured reserve. In fact, I don't think he's going to go on injured reserve at all. I was initially told this was a two-week injury. Some people reported four to six weeks.

Now it seems like it's going to be closer to that two to three week period, maybe four

weeks, but Henry, the Roncos don't play a game in four weeks.

So I right now believe that Pat Sertan will not be going on injured reserve.

And I actually saw Pat in the locker room and he seemed in good spirits there.

So we will continue to watch that, but don't expect him to practice this week.

Don't expect him to play on Sunday.

And like Henry said, he will likely not play this Sunday.

Pat on his podcast, though, close on Sundays with Pat and Terry and said he's quote, will be back in in no time so maybe some positive news there.
